It can be said that Venetian plaster in Europe (based on lime and/or marble dust) and Tadelack (based on lime and sand) in Africa were the predecessors and precursors of later new decorative coatings, such as micro-cement (based on cement and resins), thin-layer cement mortars, metallic effects, colored epoxies, etc.
